Vampire / Plasma Facials
Hands down, one of our most popular treatments is the Plasma facial (a.k.a. the Vampire Facial). It is known as the Vampire Facial because we do a quick and easy blood draw, spin your blood in a special proprietary tube, and pull out just the clear/yellowish fluid.
Your own PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) has growth factors – which when driven in to the skin, can stimulate healing and new collagen growth.
We combine your own Plasma with Microneedling – which uses a pen like device with tiny vibrating needles to drive the plasma in to your skin. We numb your skin in advance with numbing cream – and most people find the treatment totally painless. The microneedling causes tiny micro-injuries – which cause a healing response. This healing response, combined with the infusion of your own PRP, can soften the look of fine lines and scars, and restore a radiant glow to the skin.
Patients love this treatment because it has almost no down time (you may look a little pink the day of), and the treatment can be repeated as often as you like.
We usually recommend a series of three treatments, but again, in consultation with our master aesthetician, Laurel, you can decide together what is right for you.
This treatment is good for virtually anyone, and we have many people do it about a week or two before a big event so that they can look their very best at “show time”.
The photo here shows a photo taken with our special VISIA camera, which shows pigment, fines lines and other skin irregularities. You can see the dramatic reduction in fine lines after 3 plasma facials. The patient had no other treatments.
Plasma facials are also a great first treatment for those wanting to take better care of their skin, but not knowing where to start.
Reach out if you think you might like to try a Plasma facial. We would love to welcome you in!
