Bye Bye Double Chin: Hello Kybella

• What can I expect before and after treatment? Prior to treatment, ice packs and local anesthesia are applied and an over-the counter pain medication is also recommended. The treatment itself only takes 15-20 minutes. Post-treatment, ice packs are again applied. Because of possible post-treatment swelling, tenderness and even bruising, we recommend you plan your treatments thoughtfully. Initially, in clinical trials, many patients reporting extreme swelling. Here in our offices we have seen results vary, however, just in case you tend to swell, we recommend you plan the treatment well ahead of any special social engagements. Such side effects usually occur most notably after the first treatment and diminished in subsequent treatments.
