Q&A with Jeanette
Conversation with Jeanette, our patient care manager
What treatment do you love to recommend the most to your patients?
My most recommended treatment would be filler in the tear trough. I have had this done several times, and also love this area as it brightens the eyes and makes us look less tired. The reason this procedure is so popular is that it’s not so much an aging problem as it is heritage, weight loss and of course age. Many of us, despite our age, will have hollowness under the eye.
What is one treatment that you personally can’t live without?
Sculptra! This is my favorite injectable for many reasons. It softens the edges without making myself or my patients looking “done”. It also creates collagen, therefore it helps with skin quality. We live in an active state, so I see a lot of patients who can benefit from this amazing product. If you’re fit and lean, likely your face could use some volume. This is a great product for my patients who aren’t getting the longevity out of the short-term fillers. Sculptra can last for a few years, versus about a year or less with conventional fillers.
What is your own home skin care regimen?
In the morning I use the Obagi C-clarifying serum, Obagi elastiderm face tightening serum, Obagi elastiderm eye cream, Skin Better lines and a good, medical-grade sunscreen. In the evening I use the Obagi blender, retin-a, Obagielastiderm eye, Obagi elastiderm face tightening serum, Obagi nu-cil (for longer, thicker eyelashes) and the Skin Better neck perfection (neck and decolletage) cream.
What is one skin care tip that you tell your friends?
Everyone needs to use home skin care products, ideally medical grade so you can trust what is in them, containing Vitamin C, Retin-a and ALWAYS sunscreen!
What do you think makes Sonata special?
In my consults, I hear stories of unfulfilled promises with other clinics. I believe we have more integrity with the services we offer, and we all want the best for our patients. Everyone at Sonata truly cares about each and every patient, and we are committed to ensuring the outcomes of their procedures.
When should a person start getting medical spa treatments done?
I believe even as young as 16 should start with medical grade skin care and aesthetician services. Prevention is much cheaper than correction. I wish I would have taken better care of my skin, before I started working here and realized all the damage I had caused. Doing small services and using good skin care will protect and prevent future problems. And, of course, wear sunscreen daily.
Tell us about something that happens at Sonata that makes you smile.
We have such a supportive staff who truly cares about both our patients and one another!
