Q&A with Dr. J
What do you see as the most exciting new procedure you are offering and why?
MyEllevate. It lasts as long as a surgical neck lift with no scars, with an easy recovery
What innovations do you anticipate coming in the near future to the field?
Micro-coring is an interesting development for skin tightening. Using a patient’s own stem cells for rejuvenation will most likely evolve further and is an exciting thing to watch.
What is your favorite procedure to perform and why?
Upper blepharoplasty. It has an amazing rejuvenation benefit for the eyes, lasts 10 years, and takes less than an hour to perform in the office
What is the most common feedback you get from patients?
Patients are so grateful that I can provide a natural look with minimal discomfort. They appreciate that they still look like themselves after procedures, just more refreshed. It really boosts their self-confidence.
Many people are concerned about pain when getting injectables. What do you tell them?
Pain can be greatly controlled with proper technique. Many injectors do not understand proper pain-minimizing techniques. I pride myself on making things as quick and pain-less as possible.
When should a person start getting Botox/Dysport?
Mid 20’s to early 30’s to prevent, as well as treat, expression lines and wrinkles
How would you define your style as an injector?
I like to think of myself as an injection Ninja. The patient is barely aware of what I am doing. I move quickly, but carefully, providing a seamless experience. This makes treatments both effective and as easy as possible.
