Kybella: Dissolve your double chin

Kybella is an exciting new product, just approved by the FDA.  It is an injectable ‘fat buster’ that reduces fat just under the chin.  When injected, it actually causes the fat cells in this stubborn area to burst, thereby long lastingly destroying them.  The body then flushes out the fat.  This may create a thinner and more sculpted jawline, without any need for liposuction or surgical procedures.  Most people will need somewhere between 3 and 6 treatment sessions, approximately one month apart.  Some redness, swelling and bruising may occur after each treatment.  The injection itself is quick and easy, taking not much more time than a Botox® treatment.

I have seen patients treated with Kybella while the product was in clinical trials, and at the time called ATX-101. These patients were thrilled to find something to treat this tricky area.

Keep in mind this Kybella not a skin tightener, but a fat reducer, however, it can be combined with skin tightening procedures, like Ultherapy, for even better results. We look forward to creating customized treatment plans that combine both Kybella and Ultherapy.
