Halo – What to Expect When You’re Expecting Beautiful Skin!
The newest, and best, laser treatment for glowing skin
Halo is complete skin rejuvenation. You can expect improvements to overall tone and texture as well as improved skin reflectivity and “glow”.
You will also experience reduced discoloration, reduction in fine lines and reduced pore size. *results may vary
Halo addresses both your topical skin issues as well as helping replenish and build collagen under the surface. Therefore, there are the first results – reduced fine, lines and wrinkles and more even skin tone and coloration.
Ten there are also the second-level benefits that take place over the first few post-treatment weeks. Collagen growth promotes the skin’s natural healthy glow and vibrancy.
“Youthful” skin is often that hard-to-describe quality attributable to increased collagen.
Halo has been proven as an excellent treatment for improving an aging neck and décolletage.
What does Halo feel like?
With a topical anesthetic and cooling, most patients experience little discomfort. Most patients describe the treatment as a feeling of heat with occasional prickling sensations, but are generally comfortable. After the treatment, most patients will continue to feel warm for an additional 60-90 minutes, or a bit longer with deeper treatment levels.
How long does it take?
When you arrive, we’ll put numbing cream on the areas the Halo will cover – face and/or neck and décolletage. The hour or so you sit for the numbing cream to take effect is as long or longer than the procedure itself will take! Usually the procedure takes 20-30 minutes to complete.
How soon after my treatment can I return to normal activities?
For the first 24 hours you should keep your skin protected (meaning avoid excessive amounts of sun damage), but after that you should be able to go about your normal activities.
After the first 48-72 hours your skin will likely begin to lightly flake, but you will be able to put on makeup. For a facial treatment, you will see very little change on the first day, aside from some possible light swelling. After two to three days you may develop a light bronzing appearance. By day three or four your skin may peel or flake, revealing your new skin beneath.
Some patients experience more pronounced swelling in the first 48 hours. Therefore, just in case, we suggest you plan on two full days of downtime before resuming normal activities.
When will I see results?
You will see initial results between two and five days after your Halo treatment, but your skin will continue to improve over time. Most patients see the greatest pigmentary improvement in the first two to three weeks. This is followed by a dermal regeneration phase that continues to improve for months.
How long will my results last?
Your Halo results will last for years! Sometimes we will recommend Halo treatments as a series, and we often do an IPL treatment (to help remove more sun damage) done at the same time as your Halo treatment. This IPL is often included in the Halo treatment price.
If you prefer, you can do Halo treatments on an annual basis to keep your skin looking radiant.
That said, whether or not you’ve had the Halo, you should keep your skin protected at all times using UV broad-band sunscreen.
