I got my vagina rejuvenated with Thermi-Va

I am a Mom. I have two tiny kiddos that are the center of my universe. One is 2 and the other is 4 months old. And, as many of you will understand, I feel like I’ve spent the last 3 years continuously pregnant, lactating, soothing, teething, and diapering. And don’t get me wrong, it’s a joy. My kids are my everything. I live for their smiles.

But, I am a woman too. With two kids and a full-time job, finding time to take care of myself – or my marriage – is a struggle. I often collapse in to bed just a few minutes after my kids are asleep – and wake up in the wee hours to get the whole operation started up again for the day. I have been looking for a way to feel beautiful, sexy, and feminine. Working out and getting some nice lingerie have helped, but even when I do make special time for me and my husband, something is missing.

Without going into explicit detail, after having two vaginal births with pretty significant tearing – I just didn’t have the same level of sensation anymore. As much as I love and adore my husband, I just wasn’t all that in to “it”. I wondered what was wrong with me – without really being able to identify the cause of my lack of interest (outside of basic exhaustion).

Thermi-Va is a “first of it’s kind device” that uses Radio-Frequency and heat to regrow fibroblasts in the treated area. A fibroblast is a cell in connective tissue that produces collagen and other fibers. The treated areas are inside the vagina and outside the vagina over the labia. The treatment involved using a relatively comfortable, small, thin device that is inserted and moved around the vagina – and then over the labia. It’s sort of like a super easy vaginal Ultrasound – with a MUCH thinner probe that moves around for about 40 minutes.

To me, it felt like a hot stone massage for my lady parts. I couldn’t believe how easy it was. Every device maker says their treatment is easy and painless – but this actually was.

You sit back with legs spread while a tech gently massages your insides and outsides with the warm probe. The heat and radio-frequency stimulate the growth of new fibroblasts – which in turn rejuvenates the treated areas. The rejuvenation process takes a few weeks – and most treatments are done as a series of 3 – spaced 4 weeks apart. There is literally no down time – and you can even have sex or use a tampon immediately post-treatment.

The device is not marketed for increasing sensation. Thermi-Va has been very successful in the treatment of urinary incontinence – the kind many women have post-pregnancy or as they age, i.e. peeing while you jump rope, sneeze, or run. Another one of our staff – a fit, beautiful 45 year old had the treatment because she pees a little when she works out – which is every day. This is a big deal for her – as she is constantly a little embarrassed when at the gym and has to wear a panty liner or thick dark pants.

Thermi-Va has also been shown to increase vaginal lubrication  – and to reduce the size and appearance of your labia. Some women are very embarrassed by the size of their labia as they age or after having children. Thermi-Va can tighten up the labia.

For me, I wanted to see if Thermi-Va could help me “get my groove back” in terms of sensation. And, wow! It did. I feel like I did pre-kids – and that is a beautiful thing! Having a healthy sexual relationship can bring a couple closer and make a marriage stronger. For me, it has made me feel like myself again. Except now, I am an even better version of myself…a business woman, a mom of two gorgeous kids, and a vibrant woman – both in bed and out of it!
