Stick with the program
The holidays remind us how hard it is to prioritize ourselves.
I bet whoever sang “it’s the most wonderful time of the year” wasn’t juggling work, kids, partner, presents galore and, oh yes – extended family who somehow got the idea they are on an all-service, all-day buffet and tour that starts and ends at your house…
You’re not alone. According to the Mayo Clinic, the holidays bring excess stress and depression for most people.
Close your eyes. Take a deep breath. Refocus and look ahead. Phew, the holidays are over. You did it!
Now, take the time and jot down a few things you are going to do to make 2019 the best possible year for YOU.
Make a program – and make the decision to stick with it. So much of looking and feeling our best is about habits.
Here’s a few great habits to make and keep in 2019.
Connect with friends who love and support you. Make a plan to see a good friend every month. Sit down and really enjoy each other other’s company. Take the time to connect.
Stick to a simple daily skin care routine – wash face, moisturize, sun-screen, wash face, moisturize, Retin-A. Repeat daily.
See the Dr. quarterly – Dr. J. that is. Staying current on Dysport and fillers will help you feel amazing, beautiful and young. Don’t wait ‘till you can’t take the frowny-face for another minute and your forehead is a permanent crease. Book ahead and prioritize YOU.
Drink more water and get more sleep. For most of us this is the low hanging fruit for looking and feeling a little better every single day.
See Laurel on a regular basis. IPL, facials, chemical peels and microneedling reinforce and compliment the Dr.’s treatments. Focusing on skin quality is a must. We’ve all seen people who get the deep work done but haven’t addressed skin quality. It doesn’t look right. For most treatments, you can double book – see the Dr. and then Laurel.
You deserve the same high level of love, affection and care you consistently give others.
Make 2019 the year of feeling and looking your very very best.
