Where should I start with aesthetic treatments?

Experts, and probably your friends, would agree that Botox® tends to be the number one “gateway” treatment. Last year, more than 6.6 million Botox® procedures were performed in the US, a 6% increase from the prior year and an almost 750% increase since 2000! Botox® is by far the most common cosmetic minimally-invasive procedure in our Broomfield, Colorado office.  For some perspective, Botox® is six times more common than laser hair removal according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Botox® targets the areas that tend to make us look most aged. Our “11s” are those pesky vertical lines between our eyes. When we’re young, the “11s” are noticeable when we frown or are in deep concentration. Yet by the time most of us reach our mid-30s, our “11s” are fixed in place, causing us to look as if we are always frowning and much older than our years.

Botox® also takes care of the horizontal lines that form on our forehead as well as our crows’ feet around our eyes. Botox® truly is a miracle, erasing years off our face within two or three days and with benefits lasting up to four months in most people. If you tend to be a big athlete, your Botox® may not last as long as it does for less active people.
